Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a cancer located in your prostate gland. The prostate gland is only found in males.

1 in 8 men in the US are diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The most common cancer in men.

The risk of getting this cancer can vary based on age, race/ethnicity, and other factors such as smoking or family history.

The risk for prostate cancer is higher for men who are African American.

Signs and Symptoms

Early Stage Detection:

  • Problems urinating

  • Blood in urine or semen

More Advanced Stages:

  • Feeling Overly Tired

  • Weight loss

  • Weakness or feeling numb in the legs or feet

  • Loss of Bladder or bowel control

  • Pain in the hips, back, or chest (ribs)
